Our Curriculum 

The program year comprises eight sessions starting in October and ending in May.  The program is based on the Lugar Series but is tailored to meet the needs and interests of women in Delaware.  The topics of the curriculum address, but are not limited to, the following topics:   

• History of the Republican Party
• Formation of Public Policy and Ethics in Government
• The Constitution as the Basis for Government
• Understanding Local, State and Federal Government
• Running a Successful Campaign
• Fundraising
• Public Speaking Training
• The Role of Media in Politics
• National Security and the Military

One event that is pre-planned by the national series organization is the trip to Washington.  Each May all the Excellence in Public Service Series in the nation will travel to Washington, D.C. for a summit with each other and the national government.
